I've been supporting One Direction ever since they started living the dream. I've watched all their heartwarming performances, humorous video diaries on YouTube and even those videos made by their fans. From then and there, I fell in love...
2 years ago someone had asked me what I love about One Direction, all I said was "They're very charming and their voices are extremely beautiful." But then after some time, I realized they weren't exactly all that. What sets One Direction apart from the other musicians is their down-to-earth personality. They care so much about their fans and they are very humble about their fame. Obviously, they didn't let it get into their heads. Each and every single one of them have been and always will be a huge inspiration to millions maybe already billions of people out there (including me of course).
Last August 30, I was given the chance by Smart Communications to watch the block screening of 'This is Us' the One Direction Movie with a friend here in the Philippines. Watching the film with people who shares the same admiration for the lads made the whole experience surreal. It was so funny because everyone in the movie theater can't stop squealing and cheering (Fine, I'm one of them too) even before it started. It was such an amazing experience being surrounded with a bunch of Directioners, I kinda feel at home in the movie theater actually. I had to admit that there were also parts in the movie were I couldn't help but cry, especially when they started talking about their lives before the X Factor UK. The movie just proved to us that we can reach our dreams if we really work hard on it.
In the movie, they played most of my favorite tracks such as She's Not Afraid, Teenage Dirtbag, What Makes You Beautiful, I Would, Little Things and my top favorite BEST SONG EVER. Why is the Best Song Ever my personal favorite? Well, simply because it's the Best Song Ever. Ironic, isn't it? Haha! Aside from the catchy lyrics and its exciting beat, I think what I like most about the song is it makes any sad day awesome. Hence, the hidden message: "We are who we are and we're never going to change for anybody." The boys never failed to put a smile on my face while watching the music video... and the dancing, THE DANCING!!! brought up some good memories. It's difficult to amplify my thoughts on the song here but I don't know, it's just "The Best Song Ever" for real.
From the bottom of the stairs to the top of the charts... need I say more?
Btw, here's the official music video of Best Song Ever. Enjoy! ♥
